RENO, Nev. (MyNews4.com amp; KRNV) -- Tuesdays special meeting of the Reno City Council amp; Redevelopment Agency Board will include presentations, discussion, and potential direction to staff regarding the proposed Fiscal Year 2016 (FY16) City of Reno Departmental Budgets, Redevelopment Agency Budget, and Capital Improvement Plan.
Additionally, Council will resume discussion on a possible Resolution to augment the current Fiscal Year (FY15) Budget. If adopted, the Resolution would include a $10.9 million General Fund augmentation.

Previously, the Reno City Council discussed strategic investment recommendations surrounding $10.9 million of additional resources in the FY15 General Fund at the preliminary April 21, 2015 Budget Workshop. It was decided that citizen input around budget priorities should be taken into account, as well as recommendations from the Financial Advisory Board (FAB), before a final decision was made.
Tuesdays actions are only to guide the development of the Resolution that will be adopted formally by Council during the regular meeting on May 13.
Final Budget and Fee Schedule adoption will take place at a public hearing scheduled for Tuesday, May 19 at 1:30 pm If adopted, the Budget would be sent to the Nevada Department of Taxation for review on June 1.
